Beautifeyes eyelash extensions

Lash extensions materials and types

Hi my Name is Amy and I own Beautifeyes, one of the Best Eyelash Extensions Studio in Sydney.

In any new lash extension training, new students are taught all about the materials that make up an eyelash extension.

Extensions come in a range of different materials, the most popular being mink or silk

The lines have now become blurred between these two very popular materials and there are numerous other names for them.

Traditionally mink lashes were that of the animal however the products have come such a long way now that the material used is such good quality that the use of animal fur has become irrelevant.

At Beautifeyes we have never used the animal mink as we believe that the mink hair belongs to the animal itself.

The other positive to these man-made fibres is the way in which they hold their curl so depending on the girl he used for your clients, it does not require any additional curling or treatment to keep the curl in its original state.

Curls range from the ever present C curl, CC curl and D curl being the most popular and in the case of every lash artist and stock in every lash supplier however these curls can differ dramatically between manufacturers which means a C curl from 1 supplier will be a D curl from another supplier.

New curls on the markets are the M curl and the L curl which don’t typically represent a curl but rather a bend in a straight lash.

These curls have their place in the market and create a different look to those of the traditional curls like the C curls.

With every year brings a new trend so we’ll be on the look out for what is coming up next.
